What DepositCheck does

DepositCheck is a self-service tool. From your answers, processed on your device, it shows what your state's security deposit law says and prepares a demand letter that you send yourself.

What DepositCheck is not

DepositCheck is not a law firm and does not give legal advice or represent you. We do not contact your landlord, and we do not promise any outcome.

Price, delivery and refunds

Checking is free. The demand letter costs $19, paid once, and appears on your screen as soon as your payment is confirmed. Full refund within 30 days: see our Refund Policy.

Payments are processed by our payment providers; when a reseller is the merchant of record, its terms of sale also apply.

Accuracy

Laws are read on the official state websites on the date shown and may change or not cover your exact situation. Local rules can add to state law. The Service is provided "as is".

Limitation of liability and law

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the order concerned. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico.
